What Happens If Mold Issues Occur During Mass Production?

In the world of injection molding, "perfection" is a journey, not just a destination.
Even after mass production begins, issues like flash, sink marks, or ejector pin wear can occasionally happen due to high-volume stress.
The question is not "Will it happen?", but "How do we solve it?"At Gajes factory, we don't rely on quick, undocumented fixes. We follow a strict "Mold Modification Protocol" to ensure the problem is solved once and for all.
Step 1: Evidence Collection (No Guessing)
As shown in the photo, when a quality defect is detected (such as flash or sink marks), we don't just describe it verbally.

We bag the defective samples immediately and attach them directly to the "Mold Modification Application Form".This ensures our tooling technicians see the physical problem, not just a report.
Step 2: The "Green Paper" Authority
You can see the form in the picture. This is our internal mandate for quality. Before any tool touches the mold, the Production Department or Quality Department must fill out this request, specifying the exact issue (e.g., "Ejector pin stuck" or "Burrs on edge").Why do we do this? Traceability.
We track every modification in the mold's history log. We know exactly what was changed, when, and by whom.
Step 3: Precision Repair by Senior Fitters
Once the application is approved by the Manager, the mold is handed over to our senior fitters. They analyze the defective sample attached to the form and execute the repair plan—whether it's polishing the parting line to remove flash or replacing a worn ejector pin.

We not only have the molds repaired by the fitters, but also use the spark discharger for discharge treatment and CNC numerical control processing in case of some special circumstances.

Step 4: The "Quality Lock"
If you look closely at the bottom of our form, there is a strict rule written in Chinese:"The mold modification must be confirmed OK by the Quality Department before official mass production can start."This is our guarantee to you.
The technician cannot simply say "I fixed it." The Quality Department acts as the judge. Only after they test the new samples and sign the form can the machine start running again.
Conclusion
Mass production requires stability. Our system ensures that small issues never become big disasters. We are not just selling you a mold; we are providing a lifetime maintenance commitment for your production.
